I usually get inspired by listening to an audiobook moreso than music. Also, roleplaying is good art muse fodder ^^

At work when my hands are busy doing repetitive and fairly brainless work and my mind is allowed to wander.

Inspiration also comes after very good movies, while listening to good music, etc.. but hits more often than not when I am unable to do anything with it (at work, while I'm out with friends, etc).

Music mostly, or shit that happens to me. Sometimes I get these AWESOME ideas at work though--not from work just day dreaming at work and this idea will cross my mind. I quickly write it down on my notepad for work and hide the sheet of paper in my pant's pocket XD... a lot of my bs6 fan fiction is born that way lol.
